Creative person without creative talent, I had to surround myself very early with talented designers.
At 23 years old, I created a furniture brand editing French designers and manufacturing in Asia. I opened 2 concept stores in Paris and was reselling across 100 stores in Europe.
This is how I discovered that manufacturing was very challenging...
I therefore moved to Beijing to manage the production process.
But this is only when I moved to Hong Kong that I had the ⚡️ moment of the MoshiMoshi with my co-working neighbor.
This was the creation of Native Union.
We then sold 3 millions pieces of MoshiMoshi in less than 3 years !
But this was a (happy) incident.
Our hyper-growth was unhealthy.
We got defocused on our initial vision : elevate modern essentials via good design & quality products.
This is why today we bring desirability and durability to products that used to be utilitarian only.
I'm convinced that to build something people really care about, we need to act as a curator of their experience.
Remove everything non-essential, to only focus on few details.
In 2022, I have decided to reduce our collections by 50%, to be able to spend more time developing even better products, for the people who value craft, and quality.

Megha Chaddah is a broadcast journalist with over a decade of experience in newsrooms in Hong Kong and India. She’s been a keen follower of the global financial markets and has closely monitored its vagaries from the time she kick-started her career, a little before the Great Financial Crisis.
Megha has been immersed in the world of blockchain technology and crypto currencies for almost 2 years - from the highs of US$3 trillion in crypto market capitalisation in November 2021 to it all unravelling a few short months later, from the collapse of algorithmic stablecoins to the demise of one of the biggest crypto exchanges, it’s been quite the ride.
But she firmly believes we are at the cusp of a new financial revolution, one driven by blockchain technology. And as the ecosystem builders battle the crypto chill, we will possibly see the foundation of a new alternative financial architecture being established - one that lets people control their own financial destiny. In the most simple of terms, we are at the early days of a new financial revolution, a time where products, apps and technology that have never been seen or possible before, will all become a reality.
